EPC Energy Project Roundtable

Today’s capital constrained energy market is focusing Owner, Engineering and Construction companies toward partnering and working more collaboratively in their commercial relationships and project execution strategies. These behaviours and practices help ensure energy projects remain viable from conception to completion. The Project Management Institute Southern Alberta Chapter (PMI-SAC) Energy Project Roundtable provides a neutral forum for PMI-SAC members and affiliates to conduct healthy discussion about Engineering, Construction, and Procurement project issues they face within the energy sector.

To Join a Roundtable Discussion

The PMI-SAC Roundtable takes two forms:

  1. An Internet-based open discussion via the LinkedIn group called PMI-SAC EPC Roundtable.
  2. Face to face, half-day workshops held in Calgary. To register for one of these workshops or request a topic, email the PMI-SAC EPC Roundtable Committee with your name, contact information and details.

Next Roundtable Meeting

PMI Southern Alberta will hold the next face-to-face meeting of the roundtable in Calgary in September 2011. Details on the event will be announced soon, so stay tuned. Lunch will be included and there is no charge to attend the session. The session will be held at Fireworks Cooperative  - 1008 14 Street SE, Calgary.

This session will focus on the topics currently listed in the LinkedIn group discussions.  If you have any ideas for new topics that merit discussion, please forward them by e-mail or post them on LinkedIn. During this facilitated session participants will form inter-disciplinary teams that brainstorm to create solutions for each of the topics, which are then shared with a wider group.
