PMI Southern Alberta has undertaken several Community Outreach programmes. These are designed to improve communications between PMI-SAC and local companies, as well as helping worthy causes in our geographical area.

Company Ambassadors

PMI Southern Alberta Chapter (PMI-SAC) is grateful to have the support of so many local organizations, and has established a Company Ambassador programme for those organizations having more than four members. The intention of the Company Ambassador programme is to help improve and streamline the flow of information between PMI-SAC and the companies in our area, and allow those organizations that are our greatest supporters to help contribute to the success of the chapter.

Habitat for Humanity Calgary

The Southern Alberta Chapter of PMI is a proud sponsor and supporter of Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanaty provides working families with the life-changing opportunity to become homeowners. The organization build homes so that families can help their children have a stable foundation to build a future. Without the generosity of donors like PMI Southern Alberta, as well as the many other caring corporations, service clubs and individuals, who donate to Habitat for Humanity, the organization would not have been able to build 94 homes in Calgary since 1990.

Canadian Project Management Week

The week of April 20-25, 2009, was declared Canadian Project Management Week! PMI chapters from across the country celebrated with activities and events throughout the week, and PMI-SAC did the same with a networking event, a special luncheon, an online trivia contest and a blood donor drive. We anticipate that another Project Management Week will be held in the future, and PMI-SAC will be leading the charge to once again promote project management to the business community as a whole.
