Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I claim PDUs for the conference?

A: The entire conference is worth 15 PDUs and includes Days 1 and 2 keynotes and workshops as well as the Birds of a Feather session on Day 2. If you missed sessions, then claim for the part of the conference you attended, excluding meals. Each hour attending conference training is 1 PDU.

Go to PMI International’s website for recording PDUs, click on 'Report professional development units (PDUs)" and enter the following:

Activity you wish to claim:Category 3: Registered Education Provider program/PMI Component Event
Provider ID:2825 [enter in Option 1 Provider ID field, then advance to Course ID field]
Course ID:09pdc [select Find Course]

End Date:24/11/2009 [November 24, 2009]

Q: How do I claim PDUs if I was called away and unable to attend the entire conference?

A: Follow the process as above reducing the # of PDUs earned by the number of hours you were absent from the conference.  For example, if you missed the Networking Event on Monday and arrived late enough on Day 2 to miss the keynote session with Lewis MacKenzie, enter 13 hours for the PDUs earned. If you attended all the keynotes and two workshops, but were unable to attend the Networking Event on Monday, enter 14 hours for the PDUs earned.

Q: How do I claim PDUs if I was a volunteer during the PMI-SAC Professional Development Conference, November 22-24, 2009?

A: You can claim 7 PDUs for the full day of the conference where you attended and did not volunteer.  If you volunteered as a session host or room monitor, you can also claim PDUs rounded to the nearest whole number for each hour of a session you participated in as a volunteer.  If you volunteered for or attended the Networking Event, you can also claim 1 more PDU.  For example, if you were a room monitor during the two keynotes on Day 1, attended the Networking Event, and attended the entire day as a delegate on Day 2, you can claim 11 PDUs.

To make the claim, follow the steps in the "How do I claim PDUs for this conference?" procedure above, substituting your total number of PDUs earned using these guidelines.

Q: How do I claim PDUs if I was a volunteer on the PMI-SAC PDC Planning Committee?
